International shipping
Declare customs information for parcels sent overseas.
For an international shipment, switch on International and complete the customs information for every item in the parcel:
- A description of the item
- Country of origin (two-letter country code)
- Value of goods
- Harmonised System (HS) tariff code
You can search tariff codes at the US Census (3CE) tool or the Australian Government FTA portal:
Customs information must be accurate. Incorrect or incomplete declarations can delay the parcel or create extra charges. Rates for international services can include a duties amount.
Set the Contents type to match what you are sending: Gift, Sample, Document, Sale of Goods, Return or Other.
Which carriers offer international rates#
International rates are available with Australia Post eParcel and Australia Post MyPost Business. Other carriers return domestic rates only. See Australia Post.
